Antoine Griezmann, Liga BBVA player of the month for January

Antoine Griezmann's record in Janaury reads five goals in three matches, a devastating return. The Frenchman has held down his place in Diego Simeone's line-up and also won over the Rojiblancos fans due to his excellent goalscoring record. His numbers speak for themselves, and have earned him the BBVA Award for 'Liga BBVA Player of the Month', chosen by the official website of the LFP and given out by BBVA, the league's main sponsor.

The Frenchman has scored almost half of his 11 goals for the season in the last month of the campaign, proving decisive to Atlético, the reigning champions. Griezmann only played in three of his club's five games in January, but was still able to contribute a lot to the Rojiblancos' cause.
