They are goal machines. Any ball that passes near them ends in the back of the net. But what are their strengths and what are those aspects in which they can improve?

VIE 29.01.2016

This season we are enjoying the best moment of the career of many forwards. As is the case with Luis Suarez, Benzema, Borja Bastón, Agirretxe or Lucas Perez. They are expanding their records day after day. Right, left, header or from the penalty spot, from inside box or outside the box, any way is good to score.

Luis Suarez (FC Barcelona) - 18 goals

The Uruguayan is the current leading scorer in the Liga BBVA with 18 goals in 19 games. Luis Suarez is experiencing one of his sweetest moments since his arrival to LaLiga, as he has already surpassed the scoring figures achieved in his first year in the Liga BBVA (16), even with four months remaining to the end of the competition. Luis Suarez's specialty is the right foot, because many of those 18 goals, 13, have been scored with that leg, while with the left has netted two goals and three with headers. Furthermore, all his goals, but one from penalty, have come from inside the box, which defines the Barca footballer as a genuine six yard box striker.

Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) - 17 goals

Despite being injured for a month in the first half of the Liga BBVA, the number nine of the Whites ranks as second top scorer in the competition with 17 goals. As Luis Suarez, his specialty is his right foot. He has scored 11 of his 17 goals with that foot and has only scored three with his left and three by headers. Benzema feels comfortable in the box, or at least, is what is reflected in his numbers: all his goals, 17, have come inside the box of the opposing goal. Quality, assists and a lot of goals.

Borja Bastón (SD Eibar) - 14 goals

Undoubtedly Borja Bastón is one of the sensations of this Liga BBVA. Nobody could imagined that the Eibar's striker would add 14 goals at this point of the season. The number '18' of Eibar has scored goals from many ways: 11 with the right leg, one with the left and two with headers. Again, the right leg is the best ally for the striker, but unlike Luis Suarez and Benzema, Borja Bastón has netted two targets from outside the box. With Borja Bastón the danger is always present, whether near or far from the goal.

Aritz Aduriz (Athletic Club) - 13 goals

This is the year of Aritz Aduriz. Despite his 34 years, the Gipuzkoa footballer seems to be in his best season. His number of goals already reached 13, which means that he has secured the 40% of Athletic goals this season. All his goals were inside the box, although it is true that Aduriz has a large repertoire of shots: 7 goals with the right, 3 with left, and 3 headers. And from the penalty spot he has no qualms, as he has converted 2 from 3 penalty kicks.

Lucas Perez (RC Deportivo) - 13 goals

The best left-footed striker in the Liga BBVA could not miss. Lucas Perez is the player who scores more goals with the left foot in this Liga BBVA, up 11 goals. To that golden left foot, the Galician adds great speed, good positioning and a excelent eye for goal. Besides, the number '7' of Depor also knows what it is to put the ball into the back of the net with his right foot (2), but has yet to score with a header. As Aduriz, goals from Lucas Perez represent a high percentage of the goals from RC Deportivo, up to 46%.

The battle to be the best '9' of the Liga BBVA is open. Watch and enjoy ...
