Almería and Sevilla, two of Andalusia’s representatives in the Liga BBVA, will go head-to-head on the 14th of November to play in the sixth edition of the Antonio Puerta Trophy in the latter’s ground, the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. The Trophy is named after the player who passed away in 2007.
"Sevilla has invited UD Almería to take part in this cherished and emotional meeting, and this club is very grateful for that. We consider it a privilege and an honour to be involved in this important match”, the Almería website announced in gratitude to Sevilla.
Other Andalusian sides like Malaga, Xerez and Granada have also taken part in the event, in which Sevilla, Puerta’s only ever club as a professional, has won four of the previous five editions.
