R. Valladolid CF 0-0 SD Ponferradina

The Castilla y Leon derby ended in a goalless draw. The first half was an evenly-matched affair with neither side creating any clear goalscoring chances and most of the action taking place in midfield. After the break, Ponferradina stepped up their game. That said, they kept coming up against Kepa, Valladolid's best player on the day.

CD Tenerife 1-1 SD Huesca

All square at the Heliodoro Rodriguez. El 'Choco' Lozano opened the scoring, firing in his close-range shot from Alberto's cross. In the second half, Huesca went in search of an equaliser. However, they did not find one until the 89th minute. Inigo Lopez pounced on Dani Hernandez's clearance to put the ball into the net. A point was of little value to either team.

Albacete B 2-2 R. Oviedo

Carmona surprised Esteban, and everyone else, in the 11th minute. The Albacete player pulled a spectacular shot out of nowhere and left the Oviedo keeper little chance of saving it. Antonito doubled their lead ten minutes later. On 72 minutes, Toche sparked a comeback. The Oviedo man took advantage of a mistake by the Albacete defence to claw a goal back. With three minutes left to play, in the 92nd minute, Toche made it 2-2. Albacete let slip three valuable points, whilst Oviedo suffered more than they should have to leave the Carlos Belmonte with a point.

R. Zaragoza 1-0 CD Leganes

Zaragoza stopped Leganes in their tracks. Before kick-off, the away side had won their last four games. In the 59th minute, the referee gave the home side a penalty. Angel took the spot-kick, but Serantes dived well to keep it out. Football is game of second chances and that is what Angel was given with 15 minutes to go. He got on the end of Hinestroza's cross from the wing to seal the win for his team and end a run of two straight defeats.

Elche CF 0-0 CD Numancia

Elche and Numancia shared everything in this game. Even the points. Both teams carved out goalscoring chances over the course of the game. Elche tried every which way. As did Numancia, but they kept coming up against an inspired Javi Jimenez. Numancia are now undefeated in six away games. Elche have not lost in nine matches.

AD Alcorcon 3-3 Cordoba CF

The home side were already 2-1 up after just 20 minutes. Raul de Tomas opened the scoring for the visitors on 5 minutes, only for Chema to equalise eight minutes later. Following a somewhat frantic five minutes, David Rodriguez gave Alcorcon the lead from the spot. Now it was Cordoba's turn to come from a goal down, which they did. Florin Andone and Pedro Rios both scored in less than 10 minutes. However, David Rodriguez would have the final word when he equalised seconds before the final whistle.

RCD Mallorca 2-3 Bilbao Athletic

In the 13th minute, Mallorca's newest recruit, Lago Junior opened the scoring. Michael Pereira crossed from the right for Lago to open his account at his new club. Bilbao Athletic drew level 10 minutes later through Etxebarria, who made it 1-1 from the edge of the area. Aveldano restored the home side's lead early in the second half. However, Bilbao Athletic wasted no time, just nine minutes, in levelling the scores courtesy of Santamaria. Vesga put the finishing touches on a quick counter-attack to make it 3-2 and seal the points for the Basque side.

Girona FC 1-1 Gimnastic de Tarragona

It was a stalemate at Montilivi, where the visitors took the lead but Girona equalised towards the end of the game. Girona were reduced to 10 men in the 20th minute when Lekic was sent off for a second bookable offence. The visitors put their numerical advantage to good use to dominate proceedings and break the deadlock just nine minutes later through Naranjo. In the second half, Bouzon fouled Mata inside the area. Mata himself made it 1-1 from the spot.

D. Alaves 1-0 UE Llagostera

League leaders Alaves battled to a hard-fought win over Llagostera to increase their lead on second and third. Gaizka Toquero was the star of the show, scoring the only goal of the game. His eighth goal of the season, on the half-hour mark sealed all three points for the leaders. It was an evenly-matched game at Mendizorroza, separated by a single goal.

CD Lugo 1-4 CD Mirandes

A third win on the trot for Mirandes and one which sees them climb to sixth in the table and a shot at the play-offs. The visitors opened the scoring towards the end of the first half and, even though Lugo clawed a goal back, Mirandes scored another three goals to seal a convincing win. In the space of 10 minutes, Abdon scored twice and Sangalli fired in his second of the game as Mirandes climbed to sixth.

At. Osasuna 0-0 UD Almería

El Sadar played host to a hard-fought match this Sunday. The Andalusians took a point whilst Osasuna missed out on a win to go second in the table. There were chances for both sides, although it was the home side that took the initiative. Unai Garcia, Nino and Kodro all caused Almeria problems at different stages of the game, but they lacked accuracy and failed to take their chances. Neither team managed to nick a goal and were forced to accept a point apiece.
