Alaves joint first in the Liga Adelante

Bordalás´ team beat Ponferradina with a goal of Toquero and Córdoba is in second place after losing against Elche.

Elche 2-1 Cordoba CF

Sergio Leon stood out in the game between the Valencian and the Andalusian teams. The match was foreseen to be difficult for both sides and predictions became reality. It wasn’t long before the score moved, when the referee gave the home side a penalty and Sergio Leon didn’t miss. The Cordoba team could have equalized, but instead it was Elche’s striker who would bury the ball into the back of the net again. Losing 2-0, Cordoba were able to reduce the difference after Florin made the most of a rival’s mistake to score the final 2-1.

Nastic 3-1 R. Zaragoza

The Catalan team beat Zaragoza at Nou Estadi, with the away team missing a penalty just before halftime being down 1-0. Goals by Jean Luc, Fali and Naranjo were only answered by Isaac. The local side dominated throughout and when the rivals got closer, Naranjo secured the victory which leaves them in promotion positions.

SD Ponferradina 0-1 D. Alaves

Key victory for the away side to become joint first in the Liga Adelante. The home team suffer their first defeat at El Tollarin, while Alaves are on six consecutive fixtures without losing. Toquero was the man in charge of scoring the only goal of the game with an excellent header, fifteen minutes after halftime. Ponferradina couldn’t come back and will be in 12th position over Christmas.

RCD Mallorca 1-1 Girona FC

Both teams started on even points in the league and they finished the same way. The Balearic team got ahead through centre-back Lucas Alvedaño in the first half, only for Girona to take advantage of a defensive mistake with Kiko Olivas scoring just before the final whistle. Mallorca and Girona end the year 17th and 18th.

CD Numancia 1-3 At. Osasuna

Four fixtures have had to go by for Osasuna to find victory again. Aitoy Buñuel, Unai Garcia and Pucko goals secured the much needed win. Osasuna started dominating, but as the minutes went by, the home side took control. In the 22nd minute, Nauzet Peres saved Oscar Diaz’s penalty shot. The four goals came in the second half and the away team will end 2015 in the top positions.

UE Llagostera 0-0 CD Mirandes

The parity throughout the 90 minutes at Nou Estadio de Palamos was shown on the score. There was a high intensity but a lack of approaches on each side. Both teams tried it, but defences were on point.

SD Huesca 1-1 CD Leganes

Levante dominated in the first half thanks to Sastre’s organisation, while Huesca couldn’t find their place. As the minutes went by, the game evened out and just before halftime it was the local side who were in control. In the second half, Huesca gave the first step. Machis scored the 1-0 but shortly after Sastre would pick up a loose ball to score the final 1-1.

AD Alcorcon 1-0 Albacete B.

David Rodriguez earns the Madrid team three points for them to finish the year in play-off positons. The away side goes down on the table with this defeat and is in the final positions of the league. Both sides fought for the ball until Alcorcon started gaining terrain, and with this, chances came. First it was Campaña who tried it and later David would score the only goal of the match.

R. Valladolid CF 4-1 CD Tenerife

The home side improved their image winning against Tenerife by 4-1 with Oscar, Juan Villar and Guzman goals. This broke Tenerife’s six undefeated match streak, who played with 10 men since the first half after Alberto was sent off.

R. Oviedo 1-0 UD Almería

Oviedo beat Almeria 1-0, with a goal by Toche, in a game where the home side could have increased their lead, but their lack of precision gave Almeria hope. The away side finish in the final position of the Liga Adelante. Toche’s goal came from a corner kick taken by Nestor Susaeta.

Bilbao Athletic 1-1 CD Lugo

Lugo started shining. In the 10th minute, David Lopez put the away side in front. The fight for the ball got closer and, just before the break, Bilbao Athletic took control, which led to the equalizer. Lekue scored the 1-1 in the 39th minute with an outstanding strike. The second half brought chances on both sides but in the end the score didn’t change and each team take a point from San Mames.
