Achille Emana named Liga Adelante Player of the Month for March

Gimnastic midfielder Achille Emana (5 June 1982, Yaounde, Cameroon) has been named BBVA Liga Adelante Player of the Month for March after becoming one of the Catalan side's key men and a pivotal reason behind their impressive recent run of form.

His last goal against CD Numancia (1-0) allowed Vicente Moreno's team to surge into the automatic promotion positions, temporarily at least, in a display of Nastic's promising campaign and the telling contribution from players in all positions on the pitch. Emana also netted an important brace against Athletic Club B on 20 March which fired the club towards the upper reaches of the league table.

This accolade, which is awarded by BBVA, the competition's main sponsor, and voted for by the LaLiga.es writers, recognises the Cameroonian's sterling performances which produced no fewer than three goals in the Liga Adelante throughout March. The 33-year-old has simply been taking the season by storm.
