CD Numancia – CD Mirandés (16:00, Nuevo Estadio de Los Pajaritos)
The two teams from Castille and León, level on 35 points in the middle of the table, face each other this weekend. The Rojillos will look to make up for last week’s defeat to Girona FC with a win, while the team from Miranda del Ebro travel to Soria will be looking to get back to winning ways so they can take the three points.
Numancia coach Juan Antonio Anquela welcomes back Francisco Regalón and Juan Manuel Marrero from injury and Iñigo Pérez from suspension. Carlos Terrazas meanwhile has a full squad to choose from after Fran Carnicer completed his suspension and his injured players made full recoveries.
CD Lugo – FC Barcelona B (18:00, Estadio Ángel Carro)
The Galicians, who in the last few weeks have risen to 13th place after picking up back-to-back wins, host the Catalan side, who have fallen into the relegation places. This therefore is a game between two teams in contrasting situations but with the same objective: victory.
Quique Setién will have new signing Israel Puerto available and welcomes back David Ferreiro from suspension and Víctor Marcos and Pelayo Novo from injury. Barça meanwhile welcome back Alen Haliloviç from a muscular problem.
R. Racing C. – At Osasuna (18:15, El Sardinero)
The focus in this game will be on the dugouts, with José Manuel Mateo taking charge of his first game for Osasuna and Francisco Javier Pinillos, the goalkeeping coach who has been taking training last week and Adolfo Mayordomo, the assistant coach, managing Racing. Both teams will hope this match will be the day they get out of their respective bad runs and get a new spring in their step.
The new Osasuna coach is enthusiastic about this match: "Everyone aspires to great things, but these types of games are also very motivating. I can’t wait for the game to arrive. I’m not nervous or relaxed - I'm excited."
Albacete B. – CE Sabadell (20:00, Carlos Belmonte)
The bottom side and the team in 17th place do battle this weekend in search of a victory that could prove vital in their respective bids to avoid relegation. Sabadell travel to Albacete in confident mood after winning at home last week, as did Albacete, and they will be keen to get another victory, this time in front of their fans.
Juan Carlos Mandiá, the coach of the Catalan outfit said: "We hope we will have a lot of chances, more than our rivals. We need to minimise the number of opportunities our opponents make."
CD Tenerife – CD Leganés (20:00, Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López)
The Canary Islanders are in good form after picking up points in each of their last three games to move out of the relegation places. They will be hoping for more of the same against Leganés, who lie eighth in the table and on a positive run, having picked up 12 points in the last five matches.
Tenerife coach Raúl Agné said: "We will try and put out the best possible team for this game. Leganés are a very tough team, a very quick, aggressive and intense outfit."
Asier Garitano, meanwhile was in an optimistic and fighting spirit in his pre-match press briefing, declaring: "If we are able to play to our capabilities, we will be able to compete with anyone."
