R. Sporting - R. Zaragoza (12:00, Estadio El Molinón)

The clash between the strongest two teams in the competition opens Sunday's play, where thrills and quality football are guaranteed. The current form of Abelardo's men, who are still unbeaten this season, has taken them to fourth place in the Liga Adelante. They will battle it out for three points against a close rival, who sit two points below them and are looking to bounce back from their defeat CD Tenerife (2-3).

The Asturian manager has a full arsenal at his disposal, bar striker Miguel Ángel Guerrero who picked up a last minute injury. The side from Aragon, for their part, will have to make do without Mario Abrante, but Pedro Sánchez is back in the fold. Their manager, Víctor Muñoz, is well aware of the difficulty of the match: "We have to adapt to form the best team possible to win in El Molinón against a team who are still yet to win in the league".

SD Ponferradina - RC Recreativo (17:00, El Toralín)

Manolo Díaz's team, who have picked up points in the last four matches to put themselves in the playoff zone, face a Huelva side who are looking to pick themselves up after the thumping they received from CD Numancia (0-3).

The visitors will travel to Ponferrada with defenders Hernán Menosse and David Córcoles in the squad in the place of Mario and Josmar Zambrano. "I want us to be ourselves again. We were a team that played with heart, soul and intelligence too", stated José Luis Oltra. The coach from Valencia is aware of the difficulty of beating the home side, who will be without the injured Samuel Camille and the suspended Pablo Infante.

CD Lugo - CE Sabadell (17:00, Estadio Ángel Carro)

Catalans and Galicians, who are separated by just one point in the table, measure up on matchday twelve of the competition. Quique Setién's men are looking to improve their results as they have played four matches without a win, although they know it is no easy task. The visitors come to the Ángel Carro with their confidence sky-high after beating CD Mirandés (3-2) last week.

"Against Lugo, we have another chance to change our fortunes away from home. Our goal is to work constantly", stated Miquel Olmo, the manager who will be without Iñigo Eguaras. For his part, the home coach will have to get by with a depleted defence in the absence of the suspended Manuel Pavón, and Jon García and Víctor Marco, who are injured.

R. Racing C. - RCD Mallorca (18:15, El Sardinero)

Paco Fernández's men, who are looking to pick up points in order to move away from the danger zone, will be looking to repeat last week's achievement, when they beat UE Llagostera (0-2). Although they will be faced with a team who have collected two consecutive victories and will go all out for a third.

The home team, whose only absentee is Francis, are aware of the importance of the support from their fans this Sunday. "The help of our people will be vital against Mallorca. I'd like there to be a great atmosphere", declared the Asturian manager.

CD Tenerife - D. Alavés (19:00, Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López)

The Basque side travel to Tenerife with the hope of upsetting an opponent who have recorded two wins on the trot, and of leaving their last two games behind them. They will also be looking to maintain their one-point lead over this Sunday's opponents, who are riding a wave of confidence.

The injured Rafa García and the suspended Marco Sangalli will be the only players absent from Alberto López's team. His counterpart was clear about the need to pick up points: "Getting the third consecutive victory will be important, because it would allow us to distance ourselves even further from the bottom end of the table".
