Elche will fight it out against Valencia for three points that would help the team move into more comfortable position in the league table. Meanwhile, the visitors will be hoping to steady the ship and move towards the European spots.
The home side needs a confidence boost after going four consecutive matches without a win. To help them do so, David Lombán and Edu Albacar are both back for selection. However, Fran Escribá will be without Rubén Pérez, Aarón Ñíguez and the injured Manu del Moral. The Elche coach thinks it will be "a great game" but tough at the same time: "Valencia is a huge club and aren’t doing too badly in my opinion. They are very dangerous".
Meanwhile, Miroslav Djukic is well aware of how little margin there is for error if his team is to qualify for Europe next season. The Valencia coach, who will be without Sofiane Feghouli and Vicente Guaita, is confident that his team can get a win for the fans: "We owe our fans and must get three points for them".
