A tidy Mirandés stop Las Palmas

A good approach from Carlos Terrazas, the CD Mirandés boss, found its reward on the field of play, where UD Las Palmas and the Burgos team battled it out in an attractive encounter that ended 0-0, in what was the last game of the Saturday on matchday 13 of the Liga Adelante.

With the authority and peace of mind of being top of the league, Las Palmas set out to control the match and impose their game against a tidy Mirandés. Carlos Terrazas’ team, who threatened first with a header from Gorja Kijera, defended exceptionally well against Paco Herrera’s men, who could not find any cracks in the Mirandés tactics and yielded to despair when they were unable to find Guzmán Casaseca and Sergio Araujo.

It looked like the dynamics would change when, shortly after the break, Momo hit the crossbar with a great strike, and though the home side pushed forward, aware that they could lose their top spot, they never found the goal that would earn them the win they wanted. In the end, the clash ended without a goal, leaving Las Palmas in first place pending other results, and Mirandés in twentieth.
