Real Betis Balompié travels to the home of its biggest rival, Sevilla FC, in desperate need of points in order to climb out of the Liga BBVA last place. Unai Emery's men, meanwhile, will be looking to pick up three points to move closer to the European places.
The local coach sees the return of Kevin Gameiro and M'Bia, who both missed the encounter with RCD Espanyol because of suspension. However, Nico Pareja will be unavailable for selection as he is still recovering from an injury. Despite Betis poor run in the league, Emery is not taking anything for granted: "We have to be very cautious and show the opposition respect because we know it will be a difficult match. This is a match that we will all play. The amount of excitement it generates is enormous, [I’m sure] the fans all remember the 5-1 win, but we have to be careful and respectful".
Pepe Mel, the Betis coach, is unlikely to have his two strikers, Rubén Castro and Jorge Molina, available for the game. Even so, he seemed optimistic ahead of Sunday’s derby in his pre-match press conference. "I am relaxed and I advise everyone in the club to be relaxed. Why can't the likes of Chuli, Salva and Vadillo win the match? I only worry about what I have, I have to pay attention to those who can play".
