RCD Espanyol will host Getafe CF with the intention of finding their first win of the season, which eluded them in the final minutes of the match against Málaga CF. The Azulones, for their part, will travel to Barcelona hoping for a return to winning ways, after their victory over Málaga CF on matchday two of the Liga BBVA.
Team news
Sergio González will have a full arsenal at his disposal, with the only change being the arrival of Felipe Mattioni in replacement for the injured Paco Montañés, who has a grade I strain in the adductor in his right leg. At Getafe, Cosmin Contra will have to make do without Álvaro Vázquez, Mehdi Lacen and Juan Valera, all of whom are injured.
Views from the dugout
The coach warned of the importance of the encounter: "This match is vital". Also, and despite the fact that the results are proving hard to come by, Sergio González believes that his team is going through a "a maturing process" and that they are progressing every week. He is also confident that they "are on track". Contra, on the other hand, is asking for a change from his squad: "We have to play the way we did in the preseason. This team is capable of doing that and it is our obligation to deliver".
