1.CD Leganes won promotion to LaLiga Santander for the first time in their 88-year history.

4. LaLiga sides won a clean sweep of UEFA and FIFA club competitions with Real Madrid scooping the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup, while Sevilla FC won the UEFA Europa League for the third year in a row.

18. Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak was the goalkeeper to concede the fewest goals in the 2015/16 LaLiga season.

20. Valencia CF goalkeeper Diego Alves extended his LaLiga penalty-saving record to 20 out of 43 faced in the competition.

24. FC Barcelona won the 2015/16 LaLiga title, lifting the trophy for the 24th time. They also secured the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de España.

35. Athletic Club’s 35-year-old striker Aritz Aduriz was the leading Spanish scorer in the 2015/16 LaLiga season with 20 goals and the top scorer in the Europa League with 10.

37. Real Madrid are unbeaten in 37 games in all competitions.

40. FC Barcelona striker Luis Suarez finished as the LaLiga top scorer for the 15/16 season and picked up the European Golden Shoe to boot!

75. The number of points D.Alaves notched to win promotion to LaLiga Santander as second division champions, ten years after they last graced the top flight.

261. Villarreal CF captain Bruno Soriano passed Marcos Senna’s record and is the player with the most top-flight appearances in the club's history.

585. RCD Espanyol goalkeeper Diego Lopez set a new club record going 585 minutes without conceding a goal.

13,934. The number of people who turned up to watch Atletico Women beat FC Barcelona 2-1 at the Calderon in the Liga Iberdrola.
