Sevilla FC clearly don't want to settle for having just a decent home record this campaign – on the contrary, Unai Emery's men have been nothing short of outstanding at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan of late. With 10 wins from their last 10 home outings in the league, it has been some time since the Andalusians last dropped a single point in front of their own fans, putting them well on course to make history.

In recent months, Rayo Vallecano, FC Barcelona, Getafe CF, Real Madrid, Valencia CF, R. Sporting, RCD Espanyol, Athletic Club, Malaga CF and Levante UD have all visited Seville's Nervion district, and all have left empty-handed.

Sevilla's exploits look all the more impressive when you consider the 25 goals the Sanchez-Pizjuan faithful have been able to celebrate in the last 10 games. In other words, the Andalusians have been averaging two and a half goals per home match. This landmark figure has been reached thanks in no small part to high-scoring victories over the likes of Athletic, Barcelona and Real Madrid, plus the most emphatic win of the lot: a 5-0 drubbing of Getafe.

Lest we forget, Emery's side were extremely impressive at the Sanchez-Pizjuan last season too, going 34 games unbeaten there. This run, stretching back over a year, was finally ended by Real Madrid, who came away 3-2 winners back on 3 May 2015. However, there was to be no repeat when Los Blancos came to town earlier this term. The Andalusians got their own back beating Rafa Benitez's men by the same scoreline to provide yet more evidence that Sevilla are a real force to be reckoned with, especially on their own turf.
