The latest activation of the LALIGA VS HATE campaign, in collaboration with AS, drew significant attention by publishing a fake job advertisement. The advertisement promised a substantial salary, but with one condition: candidates must be willing to endure insults and humiliation. This initiative sparked widespread reactions on social media, highlighting a stark contradiction: what is unacceptable in everyday life is often tolerated in football, at all levels. This underscores the urgency of eradicating hate from football and the necessity of collaborative efforts among all stakeholders.

The impact of a shocking job ad

Recently, football fans were surprised by a striking advertisement published in AS. It featured a fictional multinational company offering a minimum annual salary of €250,000, plus incentives, but only if applicants agreed to endure insults and degrading treatment without the right to respond. This campaign, far from being a genuine job offer, is part of LALIGA VS HATE, an initiative designed to expose the normalization of violent and offensive behavior in stadiums.

By exaggerating the job offer and linking it to humiliation, LALIGA and AS sought to demonstrate that such widespread contempt and verbal abuse would never be accepted as part of daily life in any other professional setting.

A collaboration designed to deliver a powerful message

For this campaign, LALIGA recognized the importance of partnering with a reputable and influential media outlet. This led to their collaboration with AS, a respected sports publication that lent its credibility and wide reach to the cause. The fictional advertisement, rather than being fake news, serves as a tool to stimulate discussion and reflection on the tolerance and respect that should prevail in sports, from major matches to lower divisions.

Through this project, LALIGA reinforces its commitment to eliminating hate speech and hateful acts in football. LALIGA VS HATE goes beyond simply highlighting the issue; it actively provides solutions through awareness campaigns, values-based education, and the engagement of clubs, players, and fans.

A movement that calls for collective action

The fake job advertisement, now revealed as part of the campaign, has generated intense debate on social media. This demonstrates that the problem of insults in football is more relevant than ever, reinforcing once again that for LALIGA, the key to success in the fight against hate in stadiums lies in the collaboration across all levels of the sport. A synergy that invites each person to reflect on their role in building a respectful and violence-free football environment.

The football we want, let's fight for it today

Under the LALIGA VS HATE umbrella, LALIGA continues to drive a project that seeks to eradicate any form of discrimination and violence in stadiums. Through strategic partnerships like the one with AS, the dissemination of impactful messages, and accessible reporting tools for all fans, the campaign continues to move towards the goal of making football a space of unity, fair play, and respect, both on and off the field.
