Almería to get its Ciudad Deportiva

UD Almería's Ciudad Deportiva, or Sports Complex, will be ready in the second half of 2014, Juan José Alonso, the local Council's Sports Councillor, announced. The project will form part of the collaboration agreement that the Almería Council has signed with five sports clubs in the city and province.

The Ciudad Deportiva will be located in Vega de Acá, next to Almería Swimming Club, and will occupy a surface area of 44,000 square metres. The project design includes three or four football pitches, with both grass and artificial turf, another seven-a-side pitch and various installations for sports use. The new Sports Complex will be used for the training and matches of all Almería youth system teams, as well as to create a Football School.
