The classic look is back, as the white ball returns to the Liga BBVA. The 'Nike Ordem' takes over from the yellow 'Nike Ordem Hi-Vis', which has been at the centre of the action over the winter throughout the coldest and wettest matchdays of the season.
From this weekend – matchday 25 in the Liga BBVA and week 27 of the Liga Adelante – the white ball will be in use on the field of play in every stadium. Its seams will once again be on the end of top footballers' most fantastic strikes, exquisite pieces of control, unbelievable saves and spectacular moments of skill.
As was seen at the beginning of the season, it is a ball designed and engineered to deliver maximum feel and an explosive response off the foot. The ball consists of 12 fuse-welded panels in a three-layer system, and the bladder is made with carbon latex and covered with a blend of materials.
The 'Nike Ordem' ball also has NIKE AEROW TRAC grooves, the latest innovation patented by Nike. The grooves are designed to capture and channel the air in order to achieve a more precise and uniform trajectory, helping to guarantee mid-height stability and accuracy.
On the surface of the 'Ordem', Nike has incorporated its RaDaR (Rapid Decision and Response) technology. This is a graphic pattern, exclusive to each league, which creates a flickering effect as the ball spins. The RaDaR technology allows players to detect the ball in their peripheral vision, allowing them to react and make decisions more quickly.
