Vini Jr named LALIGA EA SPORTS Player of the Month for March

Vini Jr. has been named the LALIGA EA SPORTS Player of the Month for March, an award presented by LALIGA in partnership with EA. The Brazilian forward sparkled over the course of March with five goals in the three games which he played for his team in LALIGA EA SPORTS.

Real Madrid managed a last-gasp 2-2 draw against Valencia CF at Mestalla after going 2-0 down, and they did so thanks to a brace and a sensational performance by Vini Jr. Los Blancos went on to defeat RC Celta 4-0 with another goal by the Brazilian and then closed out the month with a second victory, beating CA Osasuna 4-2 in a game in which Vini capped off a great performance with two goals.

Vini’s five goals have helped Real Madrid take seven points from the nine on offer in March and retain the top spot in the league standings, with an eight-point lead over second-placed FC Barcelona.

This is the first time this season that the Brazilian has won this award. Vini Jr came out on top in the final voting ahead of the other candidates for the award: Gorka Guruzeta (Athletic Club), Brais Mendez (Real Sociedad), Alexander Sørloth (Villarreal CF) and Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona), who won the award in February
