Villarreal CF herald their coming centenary with the LaLiga Experience

100 years of history, 100 years of passion and 100 years of ‘Groguet’ hopes and dreams. Villarreal CF, one of the most endeared and family-oriented clubs in LaLiga Santander have a date firmly marked in their diary on 10 March to celebrate their centenary. But before that, as part of the build-up, last weekend they enjoyed another celebration which gets bigger with every passing season: the LaLiga Experience.

Amid shouts of ‘Endavant, Villarreal!’, the influencers Cleyton M, Dama do Bling and Tzy Panchak – stars of the digital, music and art scenes in Angola, Mozambique and Cameroon – fell in love with the ‘Yellow Submarine’ forever over the course of four centenary-themed days, during which they danced to the beat of African music, sampled Valencian paella and horchata (tiger nut milk) and stepped out onto the turf of the Estadio de la Ceramica, revelling in the action before and during the Villarreal CF v FC Barcelona clash.

Before the big game, the protagonists, influencers and journalists from the international broadcasters Zap LaLiga, Canal Plus and Arena Sport had the chance to take on the Villarreal Women players in a set of challenges. They also got to meet and interview the veritable goalkeeping legend Pepe Reina, the stalwart captain Raul Albiol and Nigeria’s Samu Chukwueze, who did not hesitate to delight LaLiga fans on social media with his nifty Michael Jackson-esque footwork.

Dreams do come true. Villareal’s European exploits are proof of it, and the LaLiga Experience guests are proof of it too, along with their forevermore yellow hearts…
