Uche and Cheryshev the difference at Ciutat de Valencia

Villarreal CF took all three points from their visit to the Estadio Ciutat de Valencia after downing Levante UD 0-2. Ikechukwu Uche opened the scoring before loanee Denis Cheryshev sealed the win late on.

The Yellows looked good from the off. Marcelino García’s men might have taken the lead early on through Cheryshev and Giovani Dos Santos, who was one of the visitor’s most impressive performers, but the scoreline remained goalless at half time.

The match carried on as it was following the break, and the visitors took the lead early on. Uche beat Jesús Fernández to give Villarreal the advantage, and late on Cheryshev sealed the points.
