The Liga Adelante enters its final sprint and the respective races to achieve automatic promotion, to get into the play-offs and to avoid relegation are still very much alive. Jaime Mata and David Rodríguez grabbed the headlines by scorings two goals each, while no team managed to pick up a victory away from home.

Girona FC close in on the leaders

The battle for sixth place heats up

However, the fight for sixth spot is getting tighter as Llagostera are hot on their heels, just three points behind.

Albacete picked up a vital win to move up the league table and move closer to survival, the objective they crave so much. Luis César Sampedro’s side move up to 15th place, with 44 points after beating FC Barcelona 2-1 in the final minutes.
