A real American backdrop
The Richard Wackar Stadium, which was renovated in 2009, owes its name to the only New Jersey Athletic Conference coach who managed to win conference championships in four sports: American football, basketball, golf and cross country. It is located on the Rowan University campus in Glassboro, New Jersey, and hosts several different sporting disciplines.
A historic fixture
This was SD Eibar's first tour outside Spain in their 76-year history, making the match against the Fury a very significant one. Experiencing every aspect of a match in the United States was a real eye opener for the players, particularly when everyone took to their feet to sing the national anthem with their hand on their heart.
Familiar faces in the lineup
Jose Luis Mendilibar opted to stick with six of the players who were part of his starting lineup in the club's final Liga BBVA match of the season against RCD Espanyol: Xabi Irureta, David Junca, Ion Ansotegi, Borja Ekiza, Dani Garcia and Borja Baston.
In form in front of goal
Borja Baston rounded off his LaLiga campaign with a goal against Espanyol, taking his tally up to 18. The 23-year-old's goalscoring instinct was on display once again, as he clinched his side's only goal of the contest to draw the game level and earn him the Man of the Match award.
Rocky Balboa lives on
Philadelphia is where the boxer played by Sylvester Stallone on the big screen used to live, which is why the image of Rocky plays a prominent role in the Pennsylvanian city. Earlier on the trip, the players visited the famous steps to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where the boxer is immortalised in bronze, so they were aware of the significance when they were welcomed on to the pitch by the film's famous soundtrack.
