Liga Adelante matchday 13 came to an end with a frantic clash in La Romareda. 'LFP.es, in-depth' was in Zaragoza’s fortress to watch the two-all draw between the side from Aragon and the Verdiblancos, which was analysed by both managers after the game.
The home manager, Víctor Muñoz, was happy despite the draw and told the press that his team could have taken all three points: "We made a significant effort in the second half, we changed the way we played, put a different team out and I think we were better than Betis in the second half".
"We come out of this match feeling stronger. Despite the difficulties we had in the match, in which we scored an own goal and had an injury after two minutes, we pulled through. We drew, but we could have won. Betis are one of the best teams in the Liga Adelante and I think the team were very committed and knew exactly what to do and how to win", said Zaragoza's coach.
For his part, Julio Velázquez, the helmsman of the Andalusian side, was keen to point out that his team are on the right path, despite the draw. "The team did a lot of things well. We wanted to look for passes that would allow us to play in their half of the pitch and we did that well, well enough to have won the match I think", he revealed in the press conference.
"We were playing away from home, against a team that aspires to automatic promotion. But we have another point, we continue to improve in terms of developing our game and I think we have taken a step forward. We're in a division with 42 matches and the rhythm is dictated by how you manage things. If we analyse the parts and analyse the whole, I think the team is growing", he concluded.
