They travelled over 5,000 kilometres to get a taste of what it feels like to be part of a Liga BBVA match and then headed home with one of the greatest adventures of their lives etched in their minds. That is what one of LaLiga's international projects, #LigaBBVAExperience, is all about. It runs in collaboration with broadcasters that cover the competition all over the world and allowed six supporters from Georgia and Ukraine to enjoy high-quality football and the best of Spanish culture over the weekend.
The idyllic Gran Canaria was the third stop for a programme that had already touched down in Malaga and Valencia in previous weeks. This time it was the turn of UD Las Palmas and the Gran Canaria Stadium to host a memorable experience that culminated in a thrilling contest against Real Madrid.

The pleasant temperature on the island and the magic surrounding a fixture that hadn't taken place in the Liga BBVA in 13 years made the trip even more enriching for the supporters. Honorary President of UD Las Palmas German Devora awarded them certificates accrediting them as 'Fan Ambassadors' for the competition, with the aim of them always remembering this adventure and taking the name of LaLiga with them wherever they go.
The stand-out activities included walks on the beach, autograph signings by players from both clubs, witnessing the match from the luxurious seats in the directors' box, a guided stadium tour and a wander around the historic part of Las Palmas. The #LigaBBVAExperience once again proved that bringing football and culture together is a formula for success, both for the competition and its fans.
