The LFP World Challenge becomes a reality

The Liga de Fútbol Profesional presented the 'LFP World Challenge' on Thursday. The event was attended by members of the Liga BBVA and the Liga Adelante as well as representatives of España Exportación e Inversiones (ICEX), the Superior Sports Council, the Leading Brands of Spain Forum, the Government High Commission for Marca España, as well as hundreds of Spanish businessmen.

Javier Tebas opened proceedings by explaining that one of the challenges when he started his presidency of the Liga de Fútbol Profesional was "opening up to civil society". The head of the LFP added that the other goal was "the diffusion and internationalisation of the image of all the clubs". Javier Tebas stated that the LFP World Challenge unites the LFP's objectives of "opening up to civil society and the interest in internationalisation and continued growth". The president confirmed that "in the next three seasons Spanish teams will play in USA, México, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru, Colombia and Chile".

Miguel Cardenal, president of the Superior Sports Council, explained that the LFP World Challenge will be "a great opportunity for Spanish companies to improve their image". The Secretary of State added that "our sportsmen have virtues that are highly appreciated by companies. This is why they will be included in this project".

Together with the LFP World Challenge, 'Spain Experience', a demonstration of the great spectacle that will accompany the Liga de Fútbol Profesional, was presented. Its goal is to promote the image of Spain overseas by means of innovative initiatives and a spectacular display of technology.
