Javier Tebas, the president of the Liga de Fútbol Profesional, took part in the emergency meeting of the Anti-Violence Commission on Monday at the headquarters of the Superior Sports Council. Miguel Cardenal, the Secretary of State for Sport, Francisco Martínez, the Secretary of State for Security, Ana Muñoz, General Director of Sports, Cristina Cifuentes, a delegate of the government of Madrid, Ignacio Cosidó, the General Director of the Police, Arsenio Fernández de Mesa, the General Director of the Civil Guard, Florentino Villabona, the General Commissioner for Citizen Security, Club Atlético de Madrid and RC Deportivo de La Coruña football clubs and members of the Ministry of the Interior and the National Office of Sports all participated in the meeting.

Miguel Cardenal, Francisco Martínez, Ignacio Cosidó and Florentino Villabona appeared before the press after the meeting in order to communicate the conclusions of the Anti-Violence Commission's meeting. The president of the CSD confirmed that the secretaries of state for Sport and Security "have registered a request for an urgent joint appearance in Congress in order to address any questions the parliamentary groups may have".

Miguel Cardenal, for his part, valued the meeting as "positive and constructive" and confirmed that next Thursday the delegate commissions of the Liga de Fútbol Profesional and the Real Federación Española de Fútbol will convene. The Secretary of State for Sport stated that the objective is to "eliminate these radical and violent people who have no place in football and try to pass as fans".

The President of the CSD said that the LFP "made many proposals, such as introducing partial closure of the stands to the regulations or eliminating an unacceptable level of verbal violence" and reminded those present that on 17 November of this year he participated in the LFP's Extraordinary General Meeting in Vigo where "I urged the presidents to work together to ensure that attention is paid to this subject.

Cardenal ended the press conference stating that "we have some very advanced legislation that requires practices that have not been implemented", while adding that "there is a long way to go but we should not forget how far we have come in this time". He also stated that "we have come out of the meeting with the idea that there are things that we can improve. We have drawn conclusions from the meeting".
