The LaLiga Santander teams Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Valencia CF all went into the draw for the UEFA Champions League 2018/19 in Monaco on Thursday. Here is who they will face in the group stages which start next month.
Atletico Madrid will faceBorussia Dortmund, Monaco and Brugge in Group A. The Europa League champions will have an extra incentive to make it all the way through to the final next May, as it is being hosted in their Wanda Metropolitano stadium.
FC Barcelona were drawn in Group B with Tottenham Hotspur, PSV Eindhoven and Inter Milan. Ernesto Valverde’s side will hope to improve on the quarter-finals this season.
Holders Real Madrid were placed in Group G with AS Roma, CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plzen. Julen Lopetegui’s side are aiming for a fourth consecutive triumph in the competition.
Valencia CF landed Juventus, Manchester United and BSC Young Boys in Group H. Valencia return to the Champions League for the first time in three years after an impressive campaign last season.
