Luis Garcia takes over as Villarreal CF manager

Luis Garcia Plaza has been appointed as the new manager of Villarreal CF, the club have confirmed. He steps into the head coach role after Javier Calleja was relieved of his duties on Monday.

The 46 year-old has experience managing in LaLiga with Levante UD and Getafe CF, and also had a spell in charge of the Villarreal B-team back in 2005-06.
