Texas A&M University in College Station Texas hosted the first "LaLiga Formation Methodology - Level 3" training course on 11, 12 and 13 March. It was attended by over one hundred coaches from more than 30 clubs spread across five US states. The course moves on to Livermore, California next, from 3 to 5 June.
Hugo Blanco, LaLiga Sporting Projects Coordinator, Zunbeltz Fullaondo, LaLiga Technical Advisor, and Gari Fullaondo, LaLiga Methodology Advisor, headed up the expedition and took part in both theoretical and practical workshops during the course. These covered such topics as: coaching, tactical and fitness training, planning, LaLiga methodology, etc.
The course falls within the framework of the collaborative agreement between LaLiga and US Club Soccer, which was signed last August by Fernando Sanz, LaLiga's Global Ambassador and Director of MENA and International Projects, and Kevin Payne, the CEO of US Club Soccer, and aims to assist the exchange of knowledge between Spanish football experts and their American counterparts. The agreement also confirms LaLiga's growing presence within the United States as part of its international expansion strategy.
