You can now watch a stream of the draw for round four, the last sixteen, the quarter-finals and the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey live from the Estadio Vicente Calderón here, on LFP.es.
These phases of the competition will be contested by Liga Adelante sides Girona FC, AD Alcorcón, Real Jaén CF, RC Recreativo de Huelva, UD Las Palmas, plus FC Cartagena, Algeciras CF, Gimnàstic de Tarragona, Real Racing Club de Santander, Club Lleida Esportiu, CD Olímpic de Xàtiva and Club UE Sant Andreu of Segunda B, in addition to the 20 Liga BBVA clubs.
Javier Tebas, president of the Liga de Fútbol Profesional and Jorge Pérez, Real Federación Española de Fútbol secretary, are just two of the figures that will preside over the draw. In addition, several players of reigning champions Club Atlético de Madrid will be present, whilst the other sides will all have various representatives at the Calderón.
The draw that will decide the fixtures in the fourth round will consist of two phases. In the first, the seven Segunda B clubs will be paired against the seven Liga BBVA clubs currently playing European football. Four of the Segunda B sides will face UEFA Champions League opposition, whilst the other three will come up against Spain’s UEFA Europa League representatives.
In the second phase, the five Liga Adelante sides left in the competition will enter the draw, along with the 13 remaining Liga BBVA clubs. Two hats will be used, meaning that the Liga Adelante sides will be paired against Liga BBVA clubs, and the remaining eight top-flight sides will be drawn against each other to battle it out for a place in the fifth round.
The fourth round ties will be played over two legs, with the first between the 6th and the 8th of December, and the return on the 28th of the same month. For the first time ever Copa del Rey fixtures will be played over a weekend.
