LaLiga's president, Javier Tebas, explained at a press conference the agreements signed during the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly held in Madrid on Thursday. The leader confirmed that was approved "with one vote against, four abstentions and 39.8 per cent in favor, the inclusion in LaLiga's Statutes of the centralized sale of audiovisual rights by establishing identical criteria to those established by Royal Decree Law 05/2015" .
Javier Tebas also noted that at the Extraordinary General Assembly was unanimously approved the "mandatory registration records that consist of a manual for the prevention of crimes that may be committed in the field of sports society, such as sport corruption offenses. It is a compulsory manual and it will be a requirement for the inscription in LaLiga´s competitions. Also, LaLiga´s president confirmed the "approval of the regulations for unified-ticket selling by clubs".
Asked about the relationship between LaLiga and Real Madrid, following the outcome of the vote by the Assembly to include in the Statutes of LaLiga the centralized sale of audiovisual rights, Javier Tebas said that "is not a personal victory but the will of most clubs that were expecting this for some time. It's a good thing and has been done for a wide majority. "
On the elections to the Presidency of the Generalitat of Catalonia to be held on Sunday and the possibility of independence for Catalonia, Javier Tebas confirmed that during the Assembly "there was a talk about this issue" but reiterated his opinion: "In a League without Catalan teams, we all lose, Spain is broken and would not be called Spain. I cannot imagine LaLiga without Barcelona, Espanyol or Nastic, because it is a National League."
Javier Tebas also confirmed that clubs and SADs of LaLiga approved during the Ordinary General Assembly with "significant majority, both accounts as budgets of the season."
