South America also loves LaLiga

Four of the top five players of all time shone in Spanish football. Legends as Alfredo Di Stefano, Johan Cruyff and Diego Maradona and talents like Lionel Messi wore the shirts of the most important clubs of Spain in LaLiga.

Many of them marked a well-defined era that enriched showcases with trophies, providing, in some cases, a foundational style. Both Don Alfredo as Messi favored the arrival of players from South America, which still have a special fondness for the memento of their additions.

This symbiosis between our continent and LaLiga (I would say lifelong) causes a particular attention among the followers of international football.

In countries like Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Venezuela, among others, the Spanish teams are followed with passion; to the point to see on the streets of their cities many shirts of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, as many as those team colors inculcated from birth. Globalization and passion coexist with the logic naturalness of a product adopted as their own.

It is there where our work as analysts of Spanish football positions us in a place of privilege, since, through the dribbling of Leo or the passes from James Rodriguez, we connect with an enthusiastic and demanding public. This penetration becomes a really wonderful duty.

Often polarized at the top, LaLiga keeps the excitement for the qualification to the European competitions and the relegation. Also by the individual contests between Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, in dispute for reaching standards that are unreachable for most.

Two seasons ago, Diego Simeone broke the mold with an Atletico Madrid with great personality. Today, Barcelona and Real Madrid are living on a broader competition. So teams like RC Celta de Vigo and Villarreal CF are encouraged to dream big despite managing limited budgets. Meanwhile, Valencia CF, Sevilla FC and Atlético itself torn between the irregularity and a tight schedule, with Champions League included.

This picture converts this edition of LaLiga in one of the most attractive in recent years.
