SÁB 03.10.2015

Sevilla FC achieved a solid victory against FC Barcelona at the Sanchez-Pizjuan, in the match that faced the two teams in the seventh matchday of Liga BBVA. The 2-1 gives strength to the Andalusians and leaves Barça with two consecutive defeats in the championship.

1. The game was played in the two areas

Chances occurred constantly throughout the first half. So much, that the scale could become unbalanced at any time and for any of the two teams, but sometimes the lack of accuracy and others, just centimeters, prevented opening the scoring. The hands of Claudio Bravo stopped two clear counterattacks of Seville, while the goal posts and the goal line saved two clear chances of FC Barcelona.

2. Lethal in the second half

The script of the clash changed completely in the second half, when the Andalusians were all out and knocked out their opponent. Michael Krohn-Dehli made the first goal following a great play by Kevin Gameiro from the side. The second came from Vicente Iborra in the 68th minute.

3. Coke, Emery's link on the field

Again, Sevilla's skipper took the full weight of the team. He distributed balls, defended his side and even attacked in a couple of times to bring danger to the rival´s area. He became one of the men to watch for Luis Enrique that in the second half was forced to make two changes to strengthen the defense and midfield.

4. Sergi Roberto surprised again

Barca´s player was very active throughout the match and was the best of his team. He did not give up on the task of putting crosses and bring balls to the Sevilla´s area nor with the 0-0 or when FC Barcelona was behind on the scoreboard.

5. Sergio Rico, vital

Sevilla´s goalkeeper endured the tug in the second half. After taking a prodigious hand in the 64th minute, stopped two Barcelona´s chances with his body two minutes later. Although he could not stop the penalty kicked by Neymar Jr, could maintain the 2-1 on the scoreboard until the final whistle.
