Sergio Leon Limones (b. 6 January 1989 in Palma del Rio, Cordoba) has been named '2015/2016 LaLiga 1|2|3 Striker of the Year'. The forward had a perfect season at Elche, playing a pivotal role in his team and contributing 22 goals and three assists.
The striker showcased his impressive eye for goal last season and he became a guarantee of goals inside the area, because Sergio Leon has all the traits of an out-and-out centre-forward. One of those is the ability to lose his marker, a skill he showed when scoring most of the goals at Elche which led to him ending the season as the division's top scorer. His stats do not lie: 41 appearances, 3,496 minutes played, 22 goals and three assists made Sergio Leon a key player for his team.
The striker joined CA Osasuna this summer, where he has the same objective as last season: to continue bringing an attacking threat and put the ball in the back of the net.
