RCD Espanyol striker Sergio García will be on the periphery of first team training for at least a few days after suffering a grade one muscle injury to his right hamstring, according to the Liga BBVA side’s medical team.
The problem means that García will have to undertake rehabilitation work, and depending on how quickly his body reacts will dictate when he can return to full training with the rest of the group. The attacker has scored twice thus far in the 2013/14 Liga BBVA season, and has been a regular in Javier Aguirre’s first eleven up until now.
The side from Barcelona also said that Felipe Mattioni, Héctor Moreno and Javi López didn’t train with the side on Friday as they continue to recover from their own physical problems.
