Málaga CF and Mallorca-born central midfielder Sergi Darder have reached an agreement to extend his contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.
Aged just 19, the player came through the youth ranks at RCD Espanyol, and has become one of the mainstays in the Andalusian side’s first team this season, his importance highlighted with this new contract.
"Málaga have everything and they’ve given me everything. It’s thanks to Málaga that I am where I am. When they came in for me I never imagined it. I want to be here for as long as is possible. I’ll always be grateful to Málaga”, said the player before the press.
Darder has played 10 times this season in Liga BBVA, nine of which have come as starts, becoming a regular under new manager Bernd Schuster.
