Rubén Castro to go under the knife on Thursday

Liga BBVA team Real Betis Balompié has confirmed through its website that its player Rubén Castro is to have an operation on Thursday.

After his examination by Dr. Cáceres, the Green and Whites published the following diagnosis: "The player is suffering from chronic enthesopathy of the hamstrings. It is his second tendon based injury since his recent recovery from back issues".

The injury means that on the 10th of October Rubén Castro, who has only been able to play in one match this season because of ailments, will be operated on by Dr. Pérez Hidalgo in the Fremap hospital in Seville. The player is expected to return to full fitness six weeks after this minor operation.
