René chosen as Liga Adelante player of the month for April

Few could have expected UE Llagostera to make such a swift transition to life in the Liga Adelante, but the Catalan outfit are enjoying a terrific season, and have a star man in goal: René Román (Cádiz, 15/12/1983). The goalkeeper has been named as the winner of the BBVA Award for 'Liga Adelante Player of the Month' for April, an accolade chosen by the writers at LFP.es and presented by BBVA, the competition's main sponsor.

After playing for Real Jaén CF last season, René is in his second consecutive campaign in the Liga Adelante. He has settled in seamlessly at Llagostera and has been a leader for the team from between the posts, playing a fundamental role in the good results achieved by Lluís Carrillo's side. In April in the Liga Adelante, the Andalusian did not concede a single goal in four games, helping the club to one win and three draws.
