Real Valladolid are back in LaLiga Santander

In the 2020/21 season, Real Valladolid suffered the heartbreak of relegation to LaLiga 2. However, they wasted no time in dusting themselves down and putting in hard work to get the club back to where it deserves to be – LaLiga Santander. Once again, Los Pucelanos will be gracing the finest stadiums in Spanish football.

They secured a return back to LaLiga after overcoming SD Huesca 3-0, the icing on the cake of what’s been an excellent season for Pacheta’s team. The city and the club can now proudly say that they’ll be appearing in LaLiga Santander 2022/23.

Valladolid only wrapped up promotion in the last matchday of the season, having put a great recent run of form together. It just goes to show that if you want to achieve your goals you’ve got to keep on fighting until the bitter end.

The club are back in LaLiga Santander after only one season away and their fans will once again get the chance to enjoy the delights of the highest level of Spanish football. One of the stars of their promotion campaign was Shon Weissman, who was not only the club’s leading marksman but also finished among the highest scorers in the division.
