Real Sociedad beat Livingstone FC (0-1), in the last of three meetings that have been fought in Scotland. After a draw and a loss, the Basque team managed to beat the British side and end with a good feeling to their trip to British soil.
The men, led by David Moyes started to dominate the match. Sergio Canales was shockingly made the commander of the team and many of the attacking moves went through him. Just exceeding the first 20 minutes of the game, the Cantabrian had the first opening of the game, but his shot just shaved the outside of the post. Soon after, Canales himself helped Zurutuza to obtain the first goal. After that, the Real midfielder was looking to widen the gap of his team.
In the second half, and with little news from the home team, Real Sociedad continued to search for the definitive goal. Meanwhile, Livingstone FC tried through Longridge and White, however their attempts didn’t find the visiting team’s net. The recent arrivals Finnbogason and Zubeldia had their opportunities in the dying minutes of the game, but the result did not change.
