RCD Espanyol, "convinced" of its growth potential after the agreement with Rastar Group

The Chinese company Rastar Group is the new owner of the RCD Espanyol. Daniel Sanchez Llibre and Ramon Condal, Catalan club's largest shareholders have reached agreement with Chen Yansheng, president and majority shareholder of Rastar Group, for the sale of their shareholding, as reported by the "Blanquiazul" team in an official statement.

Rastar Group is engaged in the production of electronic toys and video games. It also produces the highest-rated series in the Asian market and participates in the Chinese stock market with a capitalization of over 3,000 million dollars. The company aims to enhance the sporting level of the team to aspire to play in Europe every season.

This is the fourth club to reach an agreement with a company in China. Real Sociedad and Rayo Vallecano have Qbao.com as sponsor, a fact which allowed both teams to become global and be part of the LFP World Challenge Tour. Meanwhile, Real Betis signed an agreement last October 30 with UED Sports, turning the Chinese company in its sponsor.
