Team news
From the last squad picked by visiting coach Paco Jémez, goalkeeper Cristián Álvarez is the only absentee due to injury. David Cobeño comes in for him. Meanwhile, José Luis Mendilibar has selected 18 players, with Rafael Martins, Juanfran and Nikos Karampelas also missing through injury.

The home side’s manager said that there is a long season ahead, and asked for calm. “It’s a different game to Wednesday. The styles are completely different”, said Mendilibar, but added his side were “back in business” following their win away to Granada. Jémez has said that his side need to adopt a “good mentality and remain focussed, given that the side from Valencia know how to take advantage of their opponent’s errors”.
