- The Galicians have been held to consecutive draws in their last two outings. RC Deportivo return to the Riazor where they have only lost two matches this season and where they achieved their last victory 2-0 over SD Eibar on December 19.
- Victor Sanchez del Amo's side were unlucky not to take all three points against Valencia CF last weekend after striker Lucas Perez netted his 13th goal of the campaign. Alvaro Negredo grabbed a stoppage time equaliser for the visitors.
