Few players in LaLiga history have made, make and will continue to make more of an impact amongst football fans than Raul Gonzalez Blanco. Today, he again showed his popularity and thousands of fans did not hesitate to take part in the Facebook Live chat that took place on his recently opened profile when he dropped by the 25th PAMESA LaLiga Promises National Tournament. "I'm really pleased to be here in Vila-real. I'm having a great time," Raul responded when asked by one of the online users.

After several months in his role as LaLiga country manager for the USA, Raul spoke of city life in the country. "Right now I'm really pleased to be working for LaLiga out of their New York office. My family are very happy. It's a great city and we're very settled. It's one of those places where you have everything."

He had the following to say of the recent Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid: "I was in Milan and I'm thrilled to have won the Undecima [Real Madrid's 11th European crown], but I also hope that Atletico make it to another final and win it."

When asked about his favourite goal over the course of a long career at Real Madrid, Raul did not hesitate: "I'll take my first goal at the Bernabeu, which was the one I'd always dreamed of scoring. However, I've always said that the most important goals are those scored by the team and all the joy that they bring when the season's objectives are achieved."

As LaLiga's representative in the USA, one online user expressed an interest in his opinion on the current state of MLS football: "It's a league that continues to grow a lot. I'm sure that it can improve the standard of its football and its teams will become even more competitive. Boys and girls are playing increasingly more 'soccer' in the USA."

With less than a week to go until the European Championship gets underway, Raul also commented on Spain's chances at the tournament in France. "We all have to get behind the national team because they're going to give it their all. We have a very talented and experienced squad and I'll be glued to the TV. I wish the entire team all the best," he said.

To conclude, Raul Gonzalez said goodbye and thanked everyone for their warm reception during his Facebook Live broadcast: "I'm sending you all a warm embrace. It's been a pleasure chatting with you all. We'll be back online soon!"
