Raul de Tomas named LaLiga 1l2l3 Player of the Month for April

Rayo Vallecano striker Raul de Tomas has been named the LaLiga 1l2l3 April Player of the Month. The Madrid-born forward has claimed the award after playing a starring role for his side in April, a month in which Rayo went undefeated and climbed to top spot in LaLiga 1|2|3. 

De Tomas has become one of Rayo's key men in attack. The stats back this up – he scored five goals in April and also chipped in with an assist, making him one of the most important players in Michel's team. Rayo are in fantastic form and are currently top of LaLiga 1|2|3, and the Madrid-based club have only one goal in their sights – to keep this up and achieve promotion to LaLiga Santander.

This season, LaLiga has added a new dimension to the awarding of the Player of the Month accolade, bringing fans closer to the action of the best league in the world. This will see Raul de Tomas collect the award in front of the Estadio de Vallecas faithful before Rayo's clash with Cordoba CF this coming Sunday.
