Quique Setien named Liga BBVA Manager of the Month for March

Quique Setien has been chosen as the Liga BBVA Manager of the Month for March after guiding UD Las Palmas to a spell of fine form and results. This accolade is awarded by BBVA, the competition's main sponsor, and voted for by the LaLiga.es writers.

By collecting nine points – courtesy of three wins and a solitary loss – over the course of the third month of the year, the Canary Islanders have leapt up the table and put a cushion between themselves and the relegation places. Setien has reinvigorated his team's confidence and established a clear, enterprising style of play.

Furthermore, in all three of their victories in March – against Getafe CF, Villarreal CF and Real Sociedad –  Las Palmas kept a clean sheet and looked highly solid and assured defensively. Even when falling to defeat at home to Real Madrid, Setien's side acquitted themselves impressively and were only denied a point in the dying minutes.
