Pair poised for second bite at Liga BBVA promotion cherry

The Estadio El Sadar is all set for the first leg of a playoff semi-final which sees Osasuna, who didn't drop out of the top nine all season, take on Vicente Moreno's Nastic, who were narrowly pipped to the promotion post on the last day.

Team News:

- At. Osasuna: Full squad available.

- Gimnastic: Giorgi Aburjania and Fabrice Ondoa (international duty).

Match Facts:

At. Osasuna:

- Three years on from their last top-flight campaign, Osasuna have shown a real desire to ensure that this season marks their return to the top tier. Indeed, Enrique Martin Monreal's charges didn't drop out of the top nine all season and there are now just two games lying between them and a return to the promised land.

- This season's meetings between the two sides have been rather short on goals, with the game in Pamplona ending in a 1-1 stalemate, whilst the Catalans ran out 1-0 winners in the Matchday-40 encounter.

Gimnastic:

- Nastic agonisingly missed out on automatic promotion on the last day of the season, as CD Leganes emerged victorious in their game at CD Mirandes. However, on occasion, football offers up second chances and Moreno's charges have been handed another bite of the cherry and they're sure to be heading to Pamplona intent on taking a big step towards securing promotion.

- The Catalan outfit, who ended the campaign in third, were very much the surprise package in this season's Liga Adelante, after having only come up from Segunda Division B the previous year. The Tarragona-based side are now just two games away from promotion to the Liga BBVA and are on the verge of securing historic back-to-back promotions.
