Paco Herrera, of leaders Las Palmas, brings the year to a close on La Liga Show Adelante

The final matchday of the year in the Liga Adelante and the final preview full of surprises. To see the year out in style we sit down with Paco Herrera, the UD Las Palmas manager and league leader. After gaining a firm grip on a league that is once again as evenly matched as they get, the Canary Islands club have found the perfect formula that allows them to aim for promotion with conviction.

R. Sporting are hot on their heels in second. The rise of the kids under Abelardo’s guardianship has made the Asturians real contenders, and to remain unbeaten they must overcome the threat of AD Alcorcón. At El Molinón two teams who seem to have forgotten how to lose lock horns, making it the Match of the Day. 

Another highlight of the weekend is the clash between Girona FC and D. Alavés. Migue, hero of Girona’s promotion to the Liga Adelante, returns to the Montilivi and meets Felipe Sanchón in another instalment of One on One.

And in Santander, where they are aiming to end the year above the relegation zone, we are welcomed by Samuel, who tells us about his love of tattoos in The Ink of the Liga.
