Pablo Machin named Liga Adelante Manager of the Month for April

April turned out to be an excellent month for Girona FC, after the Catalans went unbeaten throughout the whole month, recording three wins and two draws to claim 11 out of a possible 15 points, whilst conceding just one goal in the process.

Coach, Pablo Machin, has been instrumental in a run of form which leaves Girona on the verge of the play-off spots. In recognition of his achievements, Machin has received the BBVA award for Liga Adelante Manager of the Month for April. The Girona boss led his side to draws against At.Osasuna (0-0) and CD Lugo (1-1), which were followed by three wins on the bounce, against D. Alaves (1-0), Albacete B.(a 3-0 away win) and a CD Tenerife side who were on a 10-game unbeaten run (1-0). 

Girona FC currently lie 7th in the league, which is the highest position they have occupied all season and their tally of 55 points leaves them just one off the play-off places. This accolade, which is awarded by BBVA, the competition's main sponsor, and voted for by the LaLiga.es writers, recognises the efforts of a manager who aspires to be managing his team in the Liga BBVA next term.
