Official Statement

Following the meeting of the Electoral Commission held this morning, and in relation to the elections for the presidency of the Liga Nacional de Futbol Profesional, in accordance with the provisions of its Articles of Association, regulations and the electoral calendar, the following resolutions have been taken:

1. Following the examination of the candidacy presented by Javier Tebas, and having confirmed that it was presented in due time and proper form, and in compliance with the provisions of the Articles of Association and regulations, Javier Tebas is provisionally declared the president of LaLiga.

2. The secretary of the Electoral Commission must notify Javier Tebas and all LaLiga members of the resolution adopted.

3. In accordance with the provisions of the electoral calendar, 27 December is set as the next date for the meeting of the Electoral Commission to resolve any appeals which may be lodged or, as applicable, to definitively declare the president. In the event that no appeal has been lodged, the Electoral Commission may meet from 8:00 pm CET on 23 December.
